You’d think a letter of recommendation from Neil Young would deliver enough clout to land an aspiring songwriter a recording contract.
“This guy, you know, he’s good. He’s just a little out of control.”
Maybe it was the weak “good” instead of “great,” or the hesitating “you know,” or the second sentence caveat that jinxed it, but Neil’s recommendation did not land the contract.
